a future memory, 13th feb

CC-BY-NC: Jakub Rokita

eyes aflame with party lights,
close enough to call them stars
i sparkle under your touch,
explosive in your hold as we dance

once it all gets too much,
we burst through the doors, escapade
to the chill of february’s air
peace is when it’s just us
and this expanse of immaculate
emerald grass

sprinklers becoming gentle rain,
we run through the green,
breaths heaving with real
magic, laughing childlike,
until the night sky swallows us

and everything is okay,
everything is okay.
