I Close My Eyes

Shorelines Other

I close my eyes and am transported here to the beach my special place. Where I am not prey to work, rush and grind away, here I can simply be.
The smell of the air is fresh, crisp, and clean not unlike the pollution of the city I can discover myself instead of being a shell.
With a splash, I can swim my own way without the control of time and absorb. I don’t need to be a hermit crab I can be a starfish spanning the whole ocean, not in the rat race within a cage. I can travel here every day, each time I close my eyes I am at the seaside my special place.
