Seasons Unending 1
During a dull and boring class session did an epiphany strike me square in the head. So it is that my inspiration was fueled and my quill moved on its own to deliver this modest work of art. Here’s to you, great-grandfather, who was the first poet of our family and whom I owe this precious legacy.
Autumn leaves dance merrily,
The wefts of wind kiss them gently.
The forest trees weep most silently
As their barks crack, their sap all but empty.
*
Harsh winter bites ever so frosty
With a hunger to rule, a chilling bellow.
Silver snowfields lie sovereign nigh endlessly,
Oblivious to the energy surging from below.
*
Life springs, for spring advents.
Sunlight brightens the scenery anew.
Flora stands mighty, the living rejoice
For nature unleashes its prettiest hue.
*
Summer takes over, burning and fiery.
Behold the sun that knows no denial.
Life thrived and bathed in glory
And a cold breeze reminds of a cycle made eternal.
