A moment on the street can change everything.
Something about the dark to help our minds construct stories from events we see, to dive deep into our consciousness. This poem is one of those thoughts, one of those instants where we are so aware of others. Rarely do we notice people, even more rare to consider what demons they’re fighting and why.
Night and the city are a perfect time for nature and times that crystallise our thoughts and feelings. I hope this moment means something to you.

over and over till she gets home,
or contemplating the universe,
trying to right the wrongs of night,
or remember soft sensations of
his skin, hold that feeling within,
or plot a hundred ways to stop her
world from toppling tomorrow,
or take this eloquent moment to
step out from all the endless noise,
listen to the elegant breeze,
rustle of leaves as a fox passes,
merely try to calm the night,
survive to find her way home.
