The Dog That Knew My Routine

Every morning for a semester, a shaggy brown dog would follow me from the bakery near Rua Rainha to campus. He never begged, never barked. Just walked beside me. When I moved apartments, I stopped seeing him. I still look for him when I pass by that bakery.
